How we treat each other
This is what a seat asks of you. It is short on purpose, and it is the whole deal.
1
Give more than you take
Bring each other in when the work fits, as a partner, a subcontractor or a warm introduction.
2
No money changes hands
Nobody pays to be here, and nobody pays or is paid for a referral. We follow the AFP Code of Ethical Standards, including how we get paid.
3
Close the loop
When someone sends you work, tell them what happened, even when it did not go anywhere.
4
Vouch only for what you have seen
Nominate people whose work you know up close, and send clients only to someone you would trust with your own.
5
Keep clients private
Leave client names out of anything you share here unless the client has said yes.
6
Do not solicit
This is not a place to hunt for leads or pitch each other. Work comes as you give, build and refer.
7
Show up when you can
Come to the monthly call when it works, and share one tool you use.
8
Step out cleanly
You can step out at the end of any quarter if it stops being a fit. If these stop being true for a member, Erin may ask them to step out.
Good people doing good things. We trust the abundance.
